Where do I even begin with this article of clothing that often gets overlooked? A solid neck fleece is honestly a lifesaver in the woods when the temperature starts dropping.

Without a neck fleece, it is hard to stop cold air from blowing down your coat, hoodie, or whatever upper layer of clothes that you are wearing. If there is cold air blowing down your chest because your neck is exposed to the elements, then what was the point of even trying to put extra layers on?

A neck warmer is something that is a must-have when hunting in November (in the colder states).

Deer Hunting Stocking Stuffer 10. Halo Z1000-8 Laser Rangefinder

This product hits home this year for me because I missed a nice buck with my bow. After all, I wrongly judged the yardage. I would have used my rangefinder, but I did not take the time to get a new battery.

Once I went and bought a battery after the fact, I realized that the deer was about 30 yards and not 35 yards. This was not the only reason I missed it, but it was one factor.

I tell you this because a lot of casual hunters will not buy a rangefinder. After all, it is expensive. However, if you are a weekend warrior hunter like me, you should still get a cheap rangefinder that will do the small task of ranging a deer. That’s all you will need.

If you are a bowhunter, I would highly recommend you get a rangefinder because arrows are more likely to be off-target if your eyes are wrong. A rangefinder is something that a lot of hunters want yet, they do not buy one themselves because of the price tag. However, it is essential and a great gift to give to a hunter that will help them shoot more deer for years to come.

I do not use a super expensive rangefinder mostly because I only use it for bowhunting. My rangefinder only has 4 modes. They are yards, yards with an angle, meters, and meters with an angle. I only use it in the yards mode.

Which means that I am not ranging anything that is farther than 100 yards away. I just want to make sure that I have the correct yardage for my shot. I use a Halo rangefinder and love it. It is a great gift that will hopefully help a hunter not make a mistake with their yardage and miss a deer!
